It contains a wealth of attractions, ranging from Museums to Theme Parks, and with some of the finest Great Houses in the country. Chatsworth House is the most famous of these, but it is only one of several - Haddon Hall is a lovely medieval manor house, while Sudbury Hall is a Jacobean masterpiece. Meanwhile the Derwent Valley is a World Heritage site due to its many old cotton mills.
